BIO Certification from 2016

The certification of organic wine is a central point for us.
The Green Leaf icon testifies to the product’s quality and genuineness, guaranteeing the consumer about the origin of their drink. Ever since 2016 it is found on the label of all our wines.
To be entitled to stand as organic, a wine must be obtained solely from organic grapes, cultivated without employing synthetic chemical agents. It is also required to limit the amount of sulfites used in vinification. Our wines are preserved over time thanks to the richness and balance of their natural composition.

Our Vineyards

Our winery and most of its vineyards are located in Marano Vicentino, in a small town located in the plain north of Vicenza, surrounded by the chain of the small Dolomites and other important mountains such as Monte Novegno, Monte Summano and the Altopiano di Asiago. Other plots are located on the green hills of Montecchio Maggiore, in the heart of the province of Vicenza, on the slopes of the castles of Romeo and Juliet. Our wine is entirely produced with organic grapes of our property. The soils are completely different: in Marano Vicentino the land is more difficult to work, having only 40 cm of fertile soil to cover a thick layer of gravel. This geological reality is very rare, and gives a characteristic mineral note to the wines produced here. Here mainly white berried grapes, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay are grown, and a part of red berried vines such as Merlot. The remaining Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vineyards are in Montecchio Maggiore whose soil is characterized by a clayey soil, more suitable for these types of vines. On both areas we adopt pruning practices aimed at obtaining the highest production quality. We give all our commitment and love to the land and its products, which is why we have chosen to switch to organic since 2013. In addition to the use of copper and sulfur, essential in the cultivation of vines, we use new natural pesticides taking care of the biodiversity that surrounds us, and as fertilizers we use only natural manure. Weeding takes place through manual and mechanical processing. We are always looking for innovation to bring to our vineyards and cellar.
